Brendon Pongia Hypnotised by Peter Powers

This video is going to go down as a classic.

In this video Peter Powers hypnotises Good Morning host Brendon Pongia into believing he is a woman. Watch him flirt with chef Laurent Loudeac.

Things get competitive when co-host Sarah Bradley starts muscling in on his man! Will she out-flirt him?

Read Lita's review of the show here:

TV1’s Good Morning show celebrated April Fool’s Day today with naughty hypnotist Peter Powers and Lita was lucky enough to catch it. There were some golden hypnotic moments:

Sarah Bradley frotting and flirting with French chef Laurent Loudeac, who didn’t know where to look when she started to slowly stroke the phallic shaped butter log, mumbling how hard it was. At one point Laurent suffered both Brendon Pongia and Sarah draping themselves over him, with Sarah rubbing her backside into his groin, all while giving the camera a cheeky, serene grin.

Talk about quality morning telly programming. Why don’t they do this every day?

Stefano Olivieri Interview on Good Morning

Stefano Olivieri - who will be partnering 'pocket rocket' Temepara George in Dancing with the Stars - talks to TV One's Good Morning team.

video

Steve Gray, Brendon Pongia and Sarah Bradley have fun quizzing Stefano in this 2007 interview. You might also learn a few interesting things about Steve (he loves Barbara Streisand) and Brendon, who is apparently fastidious about his clothes...

Brendon has previously been engaged to this year's DWTS contestant Miriama Smith (who also enjoyed a romance with Frank Bunce).

Hayley Holt's Profile - updated

Hayley Holt bikini shotHayley Holt's athletic figure has been a talking point in Treasure Island, The Pirates of the Pacific, especially after she proved to be strong, physically and mentally.

Hayley is a professional snowboarder and snowboarding coach, a dancer with the Candy Lane Dancers, a model, and now a popular television celebrity, and is frequently seen at A-list charity and celebrity events. She consistently ranks as one of NZ Reality TV's top searches, possibly because she looks hot in a bikini as well as being smart and beautiful.

Hayley Holt is listed as a model with 62 Models & Management, an upmarket modelling and talent agency established by former model Sara Tetro. Her past modelling assignments include being a body art model which involves wearing nothing but a g-string and body paint! She has also worked as a waitress.

Blue eyed Hayley is 5.8" tall and her vital measurements are 34" - 25" - 37".

Brendon Pongia Hayley Holt Dancing with the Stars DWTS
She started learning Ballroom and Latin American dancing at the age of seven and competed until the age of 19. Hayley was the 1998 NZ Ballroom Dancing Champion and placed 19th in the Blackpool Rising Star Professional Ballroom Competition, and was sixth in the US Open Rising Star Professional Ballroom Competition. She has also trained in Jazz Dance studying for many years with Candy Lane.

Hayley Holt Danyon Loader Dancing with the Stars DWTS
Hayley appeared as a professional dancer in seasons two and three of Dancing with the Stars. In season two she partnered Olympic swimmer Danyon Loader. In season three she partnered ex Tall Black Brendon Pongia, making it to the final three in the competition. On both occasions there were rumours of romance with her dancing partners. Herald on Sunday stated that they had received confirmation that Hayley and Brendon did the wild thing.

According to 2007 Dancing with the Stars runner up Megan Alatini, Hayley Holt likes to party!!!

In 2007 Hayley Holt won Treasure Island Pirates of the Pacific, beating Wendell Sailor to $50,000 cash. Of being on Treasure Island, she said:

“I would definitely do Treasure Island again,” says Hayley. “I loved it, even being constantly dirty and not having endless chocolate supply.”
As if that isn't enough to keep a gal busy, Hayley has been studying history papers at Auckland University, although we understand that was put on hold during DWTS and Treasure Island. According to a March 2008 interview Hayley is resuming part-time study and is dong a paper on civil rights in the United States.

Hayley Holt is based in Auckland, although she temporarily relocated to Wellington for season three of DWTS, after Brendon Pongia requested her as his dance partner.

Hayley was romantically involved with Kristian Philipp, but they broke up in early 2007. She has since been romantically linked to Brendon Pongia and Richie McCaw, and has also been sighted with soccer player Noah Hickey and is no longer single (sorry guys). Hayley and Richie's first date was a public date, at the premier of movie Ocean's 13. Richie and Hayley have been out on other dates since this time and are spending a lot of time together, including a weekend in Raglan after the All Blacks lost the Rugby World Cup. Gossip suggests the pair are a couple but are attempting to keep the romance below the radar, although that all changed after Hayley and Richie were photographed cuddling.

In 2007, Hayley was named New Zealand's Sexiest Woman by Prime Television's show Charlotte's Lists. She is 27 years of age.

You can check out Hayley's bikini photos, including some shots that look like they were taken when she was a mere babe.

Get a load of Hayley's measurements. This 5'8" blonde beauty is 34", 25", 37". And she gets to dance with the hunky Brendon The Body Pongia. I think I hate her...

Steve Gray a Captain Jack Harness wannabe!

This week Steve Gray joins Brendon Pongia on the couch to co-host TV One’s Good Morning show. We chatted to him about his life, his co-host Brendon, embarrassing television moments and reality TV.

Steve Gray is a well known face to Good Morning viewers where he has been a regular movie reviewer and more recently gossip queen. He also reviews movies for DVD rental company Fatso, where he has an unfeasibly serious profile photo.

Miss Prozac thinks Steve is a keeper. Good to have some fresh talent on New Zealand with personality plus. Although she does have a few tips to help him achieve his career goals…

Capt. Jack Harness

If you were a leading man which character would you be?
Captain Jack Harkness from Torchwood. So dashing.

torchwood
Do you have a life outside reviewing movies and gossip?
Is drinking a life, or a hobby?
[Miss Prozac sure hopes it's a life. Else people might accuse her of being boring]

Are the glasses for real, or are they just to make you look like a brainiac?
Ha, real, I am as blind as a bat.

Single or in a relationship?
Engaged

Tell us about him…
A man who can actually do housework would be nice. He is Maori, 35 and teaches computer skills to people who have experienced issues with mental conditions.

Who did you have to bribe to get to be a presenter on the show? Just kidding, but seriously, how did you make the leap?
Started on bFM in Auckland 12 years ago and auditioned for Dyana with my friend Geoff Houtman, (we were reviewing as 'The Movie Police' ) and they liked our energy.....and hotness.
[Miss Prozac chuckles]

What's your most embarrassing television moment?
Having Angela D'Audney throw a video at my head.
Oh, and when Mary Lambie made me wear lederhosen for 'The Sound of Music' special show. She was strangely obsessed with that show. Never again will I show my legs. LOL

Is it your goal to be a TV presenter full-time?
Yeah, for the right show.
[They all say that and then they go on So You Wanna Be a Popstar?]

Would love to present a 'Beauty and the Beast' type show or A Kiwi version of that torture show that plays on Friday nights (Distraction).
[Helpful tip #1: Hire Dom's agent. He seems to have TV presenting sewn up, and if that fails your keywords are Dancing With The Stars and pink lycra]

Why have you got that unflattering photo on the TVNZ website?
Ha, bitch.
[You say that like it's a bad thing]

We thought it showed character........Obviously not.
[Which brings her to helpful tip #2...]

We thought Jack Yan let a small television role go to his head, with his 'TVNZ insider' column. Do you agree or disagree?
So agree....

Reality TV – love it or hate it?
I love Survivor, and Top Chef, and The World’s Dumbest Model, Sweet 16, Dancing with the Stars, and that is it.

Least favourite reality TV show?
The Apprentice. Trump is so ugly.

Who is your favourite New Zealand celeb? And why?
Oh, I love them all. Too many friends, but Keith Quinn is a doll,

Who should win Pop's Ultimate Star?
AHHHH, we watch it every week. Can't look away. As it is so strangely constructed, Peter will probably win, but I love Joe Cotton. She is fantastic, so have to vote for her.

[Ummm, Peter is a judge]
Exactly!

What's Brendon Pongia's most annoying habit?
He won't sleep with me. Ha, he dresses way better than me and goes to the gym constantly, so just typical male competition.
[But think of the fame if he did sleep with you. Guaranteed book deals and your own TV show. Helpful tip #3 - we hear Brendon likes a wee drinkie or two]

Any other goss? Who are the most demanding guests?
Hmmmmmmmmmm, you may have noticed that I very seldom do New Zealand based gossip on the show, as I was in Auckland for 15 years and many people are my friends, if not flatmates, but Angela throwing the video at my head HARD is a good indication that she could be ....difficult.

Happy birthday Steve - We'll blow out 42 candles for you!

TVNZ's Good Morning is inviting people to join them at Civic Square on Friday July 13th where they will film Galpin's attempt to break the record for the most hugs in an hour. Brendon will be there too, giving hugs!

Gay Gray partnering Brendon Pongia

On Friday's Good Morning show, Sarah Bradley announced that Steve Gray will be sitting in for her while she is away on holiday for two weeks.

Colour us surprised! In the past TVNZ has attempted to stick to a male-female partnership fronting this show, which past producers have described as appealing to "Mrs Matamata".

Will openly gay Steve Gray appeal to Mrs Matamata? And what will happen with the two boys in charge of the show, without the calming influence of Sarah to keep the lid on things. We predict a wild ride, but it's sure to be fun!

Movie Reviewer and Gossip Queen Steve has already fronted the show, taking over from the boring Barry Soper, for a few days while Brendon, was doing a bit of horizontal dancing with Hot Hayley Holt.

P.S. Was Miss Prozac the only one that thought Brendon Pongia had that just got out of bed tousled look on Friday's show? Now that's pretty appealing under normal circumstances, but Brendon looked tired, or maybe hungover. Perhaps it was that revolting Farmer Brown plaid shirt. What happened in the wardrobe department? Did the Pop's Ultimate Star stylist get her mits on him and turn our glamorous studly Brendon into a cow cockey?

We're sure Brendon wouldn't be going back to his wicked drinking ways. After all, he assured the Woman's Day that he is a changed man. Brendon told the Day, that after drinking his way around Europe he came back to New Zealand and got some counselling and got his act together. We're guessing he had a temporary memory lapse about his drunken radio interview

P.P.S. Steve if you're reading this we'd love to interview you, and could you flick us a photo to use where you don't look like a laughing hyena... (contact emails on right hand sidebar)

Hayley Holt The Ultimate Accessory

It seems these days that the "must have" accessory for the sporting lad out and about on the town is the luscious and athletic Hayley Holt.

During her time on Dancing with the Stars, Hayley Holt was spotted partying up large with dance partner Brendon The Body Pongia. They went dancing with cast and crew of DWTS most Tuesday nights as well as attending charity and publicity functions together. Remember the Shortland St birthday party?

More recently we reported that hunky Richie McCaw was set up on a date with Hayley to attend the premiere of Ocean's 13.

The latest news is that Hayley was photographed with ex soccer and reality television contender Noah Hickey. Noah was a contestant together with reality TV regulars Suzanne Paul, Amber Peebles, Joe Cotton and Camillia Temple in the dreadful City Celebrity, Country Nobody, where contestants got muddy, didn't shower much and got bested by a bunch of chickens and other livestock. He also competed in a celebrity sports challenge, but the name of the show escapes me.

As both Hayley and Noah are managed by Sara Tetro's 62 Management we smell a publicity set up. It seems their publicity gurus are keeping them in the public eye. Could there be behind the scenes negotiations going on to win Hayley another television role?

Looking back, we found the reasons given for her split with champion skateboarder Kristian Philipp somewhat odd. At the time she said that the opportunities to be on Dancing with the Stars and Treasure Island made it difficult to continue her relationship. Is this because creating scandal and gossip and appearing on the arm of a different sporting star each week was part of the job description?

Hayley Holt your questions answered

This is pure unadulterated gossip, and most of it can't be substantiated, but you asked so we're going to do our best to answer your questions about Hayley Holt, based on rumours, and tabloid articles and the inside word from our friends in the know...

Is Hayley Holt single?
Yes. She split up with her long term partner to take up television opportunities including Treasure Island and the most recent series of Dancing with the Stars (update: she's now dating Richie McCaw)

Were her and Brendon the Body Pongia a couple?
According to our sources, Brendon Pongia and Hayley have enjoyed a horizontal rhumba or two but have no ongoing relationship.

Is it true she stayed out all night with Brendon?
Yes. But to be fair a large number of the DWTS contestants partied the night away most Tuesdays. According to Megan Alatini, Hayley is a party animal...

What about the drunken interview?
Unfortunately we don't have a copy of the interview available online, but yes Brendon and Hayley were interviewed early in the morning after a night of drinking and partying and the giggling suggested more than a few cocktails had passed those lips.

Did anything happen between Hayley and Danyon Loader?
Nothing confirmed, but a lot of people thought they were shagging ...

Did she really go out with Richie McCaw?
Yes. Hayley was delighted to accept a date from the eligible Richie McCaw and attending the Ocean's 13 premiere with him. Rachel Glucina (Herald on Sunday), suggests it could be a publicity stunt. We'll keep you posted.

How do I contact Hayley?
We don't have a fan mail address for her but any correspondence sent c/- TVNZ will reach her (eventually), as will any fan mail sent to her agent, Sara Tetro of 62 Management.

Best and Worst of Dancing with The Stars NZ

Stefano Olivieri and Suzanne Paul Paso Doble
Drum roll please. Here are our awards for this season’s Dancing With The Stars best and worst moments

Sizzle award
New Zealand’s sexiest woman, Hayley Holt, for that Rhumba.

Best judge’s quote
Craig Revel-Horwood: It’s enough to turn a gay man straight
(about Hayley Holt wrapping herself around Brendon Pongia during their Rhumba)

Cheek(s) award
Michael Laws for looking unaccountably hot wiggling his butt during the Jive

Best mascara award

  • Runner up: Frank it’s not macho to wear makeup Bunce
  • Winner: Michael Laws. What were the make-up gals thinking?

Best Tango
Brendan Cole and Craig Revel-Horwood sniping at each other throughout the competition

The Rodney Hide memorial ‘you call that dancing’ award

  • Runner up: Paul Holmes’ Thriller Paso Doble
  • Winner: Suzanne Paul’s freestyle dance. Since when does spending half the dance being twirled by your partner followed by manic running around the floor qualify as dancing?
To quote Michael Laws
Stefano Olivieri carried Suzanne for most of her final dance. If I had known you could score `10s' for looking decorous rather than dancing, I would have piggy-backed my partner Lauren for the entire 90 seconds. It may have launched a thousand fetish fantasies but, gee, it might have worked.

Best costume award
This was a toughy. So many gorgeous costumes but in the end the Paso Doble won it.

April & CsabaApril & Csaba
Tackiest costume
  • Runner up: Megan Alatini’s fruity bikini in the Samba
  • Winner: April Ieremia’s “naff” High School musical costume

Best necklace
Where to begin? Joint first equal Carol-Ann Hickmore and Krystal Stuart

Taking one for the team award

  • Special Merit award: Rebecca Nicholson for dancing with both Tim Shadbolt and Paul Holmes
  • Runner up: Michael Laws for dancing with a broken toe. Well he moaned about that a bit, so really the award is for being savvy enough to auction off the funny metal thing he stubbed his toe on and earn an extra $800 for his charity.
  • Winner: Krystal Stuart for dancing the Paso Doble with a broken toe and never uttering a word about the injury. Also ongoing bravery for dancing with Rodney Hide and taking the blame for the famous spear tackle fall.

Courage under fire:
Michael Laws for consistently smiling while being systematically taken apart by judge Craig Revel-Horwood

Charity we heard the most about:
The Suzanne Paul help me resurrect my career charity

The ego has landed award:
  • Runner up: Paul Holmes for thinking his Paso Doble was good
  • Winner: Megan Alatini for failure to accept constructive criticism from the judges without backchat

Most improved award
Jonny Williams – yes I know this is about the celebs but that boy can move and compared to last year he has improved in leaps and bounds.

Best dancer
Stefano Olivieri. How could you fail to win with that set of legs swivelling beside you? Expert, elegant and expressive Stefano Olivieri is one of the best dancers I have had the pleasure of watching. And who couldn’t love that gorgeous big smile?

WTF moment
  • Special Merit Award: Megan Alatini for telling the woman’s magazine how she has a ‘secret’ crush on dance partner the week after sharing her passionate bedroom secrets with another woman’s magazine the previous week
  • Runner up: Megan Alatini for telling partner Jonny Williams she couldn’t afford to pay him for ongoing dancing lessons. Say what? Didn’t she just get paid to do DWTS? Isn’t her husband on a lucrative playing contract in Japan? She’s not exactly destitute.
  • Winner: Suzanne Paul for telling Brendan Cole to “get over himself” and “go have a word for himself” because he dared to do his job and judge her.

Best pins
  • Runner up: Suzanne Paul
  • Winner: Candy Lane
These women are both similar ages, and wowser, would you take a look at those legs!

Best clanger
Candy Lane for continually muffing her scripted comedy. But we have to give credit (a) to Candy Lane for improving from season 1 and (b) to the script writers for reducing all that scripted nonsense

Smut award
Can only go to the ditzy Alison Leonard who has never heard a word she can’t imbue with some sexual meaning including telling Brendon Pongia women used to dial him for a good time, now they can dial him for good timing

The Forever Friends award for flirtation

  • Brendon Pongia and Hayley Holt
  • Greer Robson and Aaron Gilmore
  • Frank Bunce and Krystal Stuart
  • Megan Alatini and Jonny Williams

Dirty Dancing award
Brendan Cole and … anyone! But hey, who wouldn’t line up to dance with a man who can dance like that?

Brendon Pongia reprimanded for drunken interview

Brendon Pongia and Hayley Holt Rhumbalicious

According to Sunday Star Times, ditched Dancing With The Stars competitor Brendon Pongia has been reprimanded by TVNZ after a drunken radio interview on Wednesday morning with dance partner Hayley Holt.

He said after 15 weeks just "dancing, dancing, dancing and no social life" he felt he was entitled to a night out. "People should be able to go out and have a good time," he said. "I'm not going to apologise for that."

Pongia said he had been given a slap on the wrist by TVNZ who had told him his behaviour was unprofessional - but that was extent of it.

Megan's bedroom secrets and other DWTS goss

This week's NZ Woman's Weekly lead with the cover story 'Megan and Pita Reveal their Private Passion'. If only they'd keep it private.

Reading about Megan's love life was almost enough to make Miss Prozac scream for a biohazard suit. Yes, it seems the athletic Pita Alatini and wife Megan can't keep their hands off each other. In the interview they were pawing each other and getting ready to reveal the secrets to their marriage success. Get a room guys! It turns out they are still in lust for each other, and Pita has discovered the positive benefits of Megan's dancing aspirations. He likes the way it has transformed her body, if you know what I mean. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Yep, it seems even in the bedroom Megan is always 'performing'.

Thankfully it was a misleading headline from NZWW. Normally this would annoy Miss Prozac but she was so relieved at not having to read about their bedroom antics that all is forgiven.

Naturally Megan Alatini and dance partner Jonny Williams will be friends for life. Can't these guys come up with anything more original? All the celebs said that in Seasons 1 and 2 and most of them don't keep in touch. In fact, most of them have never been near a dance floor since the end of the show.

Over at the NZ Woman's Day it's revealed (yet again) that Megan has to battle her nerves before each show. Brendon Pongia says that his sporting mates were teasing him about learning ballroom dancing until they say him with hot Hayley Holt. He's lost weight and surprise, surprise. Hayley Holt will be a "friend for life". Yeah, right.

Suzanne Paul admits to having a meltdown during training but guess what? Yes, this kiwi battler picks herself up and keeps going. Where have we heard that before? Suzanne must have said that about a dozen times on the last show. And did she pick herself up and keep going? Not exactly. She was on the verge of tears after her waltz, sulky and snarky after the Paso Doble. I would be far more inclined to hold up Rodney Hide aka The Dancing Potato as a model of perseverance and picking himself up after disaster. That man campaigned and won an unwinnable election, and in Dancing with the Stars season 2, he continued dancing each week in the face of extraordinary criticism and obstacles (i.e. his feet). He didn't sulk, he didn't complain about his bruises or insult the judges. The Dancing Potato picked himself up, dusted himself off and kept going with a smile on his dial.

Also in the NZWW, Charlotte Dawson is returning to Australia after five years in New Zealand. She is currently fronting the cheesy Charlotte's Lists where she reveals celebrity secrets that are older than that cheeseburger on Campbell Live. It turns out McDonald's cheese burgers live longer than most pets, they're cheaper to feed and they don't need housetraining. Anyway back to cheesy Charlotte. That gal had nothing good to say about New Zealand so we're happy to say goodbye and offer her a wee dose of Prozac to help lift her mood.
